Shoot for A's

We are excited to announce the kickoff of the 2012 Shoot-for-A’s science & math program sponsored by Exxon Mobile! Exxon Mobile would like to open up the opportunity for students to participate in science & math programs. Students will be creating energy efficient projects in small groups. If you are a person who is a leader, can work well with others, and is excited to build things than this group is for you! The morning group will be exploring biomass and electricity while the afternoon group will be building solar cars.

To participate in the Shoot for A’s Energy Efficiency program students must fulfill the following requirements:

  •  Willing to work cooperatively in a group
  •  Attend all scheduled meetings (see below)
  •  Mandatory attendance on the evening of Wednesday, April 25th for the Shoot-for-A’s Expo

There will be two groups. One group will meet in the morning and the other group will meet after school.


The morning group will meet from 6:50 until 7:35AM with Mrs. Juhant on the following dates:

The afternoon group will meet from 4PM until 6PM with Ms. Ayers on the following dates:

 

The Shoot-for-A’s Expo will be held at the Four Rivers Environmental Education Center in Channahon, Illinois on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the event and explore what their son or daughter has been working on during this program.

This is no cost for this program and students will be provided with a shirt.
